Monday and Tuesday saw severe weather across Sydney with thunderstorm warnings, heavy rainfall, lightning, and significant weather.
More than 10,000 people homes lost power on Monday, while four people were also injured due to lightning.
Now we are looking towards another day of storm potential on Friday, though with a different weather setup.
This latest round of wet weather will come after what looks to be a fairly calm day without much of a storm risk on Thursday.
The main weather maker here is a cold front that is pushing through the southeast and then running up the coast.
This is paired with an upper atmosphere trough.
Ahead of the front, we are seeing favourable conditions for thunderstorm development.
Almost the entirety of the east coast and eastern half of New South Wales is watching for a storm risk on Friday.
The threat looks to move from south to north throughout the day, again ahead of the front.
Showers and storms look to start in eastern Victoria through the morning.
The system is set to the pushes through southeastern and central eastern NSW into the afternoon.
The risk continues to move north throughout the day into the afternoon and evening in northern NSW.
Sydney looks to reach a high of 34C on Friday, with generally clear conditions expected in the morning.
But early in the afternoon it looks likely that thunderstorm development will occur from about 1pm onward.
Depending on the conditions, we could be looking at the risk of flash flooding, downed trees, or power outages.
The risk is higher as the day goes on, especially if we have some surface heating ahead of storm development.
Now when it comes to Sydney, this means Swifties will need to be prepared to take “drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain” literally for the Friday night show.
Taylor Swift has previously performed her concerts in pouring rain, but we will have to keep an eye on the sky that day for potentially hazardous conditions.
