Good news for workers as wages grow 4.2 per cent over 2023

Australian wages have grown for the third consecutive quarter.

Wages rose 0.9 per cent over the December quarter and 4.2 per cent for 2023.

“Workers obviously will welcome the news,” Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said.

“They’ve been absolutely coping it in terms of inflation.

“But politically the government will welcome the news.”
