Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes advanced in the women’s NCAA tournament and will face top-seeded South Carolina in Sunday’s title game in Cleveland, Ohio.
Iowa narrowly edged out No. 3 UConn 71-69 to reach the championship game for the second straight year.
The South Carolina Gamecocks advanced to the final after defeating No. 3 NC State 78-59. The No. 1 overall seed will attempt to become the 10th ever unbeaten Division I women’s basketball champion.
Over its last 80 games, South Carolina is 79-1 with the lone defeat coming against Iowa in last year’s semifinals.
